Zusammenfassung

Die Therapieforschung im Bereich der Behandlung depressiver Kinder und Jugendlicher ist noch vergleichsweise jung und liefert zum Teil widersprüchliche Ergebnisse. Das zeigt sich unter anderem daran, dass die Behandlungsleitlinien nach Maßgaben relevanter neuer Erkenntnisse häufig verändert werden. In diesem Kapitel werden zunächst die wichtigsten Ergebnisse und Erkenntnisse aus der Pharmakotherapie und anschließend die empirischen Grundlagen für eine psychotherapeutische Behandlung der Kinder- und Jugenddepression anhand maßgeblicher Metaanalysen und Studien dargestellt. Auf die Ergebnisse von Studien, die im naturalistischen Setting kognitive Verhaltenstherapie bei depressiven Jugendlichen angewendet haben, wird eingegangen. Außerdem werden Wirkfaktoren und Moderatoren für den Therapieerfolg dargelegt und Schlüsse aus diesen empirischen Belegen für die therapeutische Praxis daraus gezogen.
