We have read with interest your letter to the Editor entitled, “A case of stent fracture after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt” describing dislodgement of fractured parts of a nitinol stent from the outflow tract of TIPS. This TIPS was performed using 80-mm long stentgraft (Nitis-S stent ComVi type, Taewoong Medical, Seoul, Korea), and since the hepatal junction was not fully covered, additional 40-mm long bare stent (Zilver, Cook, Bloomington, USA) was implanted to cover also the outflow tract including hepatocaval junction. …
