Zusammenfassung

Mangelnde Inhibitionsfähigkeit ist als Ursache für Impulsivität ein wesentliches klinisches Merkmal bei vielen psychiatrischen Erkrankungen. Sie führt häufig zu ausgeprägtem Leidensdruck, zu vielfältigen Funktionsbeeinträchtigungen, aber auch zu objektiven, unter Umständen strafrechtlichen Konsequenzen, wenn infolge einer psychischen Störung defizitäre Impulskontrolle und Beeinträchtigungen der Steuerungsfähigkeit resultieren.
