Zusammenfassung

Die moderne Strahlentherapie bietet durch eine Vielzahl technischer Weiterentwicklungen die Möglichkeit, eine hohe präzise Strahlendosis auf exakt definierte Zielvolumina zu applizieren und umgebende Risikostrukturen optimal zu schonen. Dieser Artikel soll einen kurzen Überblick über neue Methoden und Techniken in der Strahlentherapie von Patienten mit Hirntumoren geben. Hierbei wird speziell auf Entwicklungen im Bereich der bildgebenden Verfahren, der Bestrahlungsplanung, der Patientenpositionierung und der Lagerungskontrolle während der Therapie eingegangen.
