All cancer patients need supportive care, and in elderly cancer patients, the need is especially great. Since a large proportion of cancer patients seen in everyday practice is elderly, the rationale for close collaboration between geriatric oncology and supportive care specialists is clear. Current demographic trends reinforce the logic behind this partnership. So it was helpful and timely that the recent annual conference of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG), held in Prague, Czech Republic, in November 2015, enjoyed the active participation of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC). …
