Therapie hypertropher Narben und Keloide

Zusammenfassung

Keloide treten meist zwischen dem 10. und 30. Lebensjahr auf und wachsen kontinuierlich über die Grenzen der ursprünglichen Narbe hinaus. Neben der kosmetischen Beeinträchtigung führen sie häufig zu Pruritus, Schmerzen, Bewegungseinschränkungen und Verminderung der Lebensqualität. Fortschritte im Verständnis der Genetik und Pathogenese von hypertrophen Narben und Keloiden haben zu neuen Therapieansätzen geführt. Dennoch bleibt die Behandlung eine Herausforderung und es gibt bis heute keine zufriedenstellende Therapie, mit der alle Narben behandelt werden können. Zunehmend haben sich Kombinationstherapien etabliert, die eine höhere Effektivität als Monotherapien aufweisen. Dieser Beitrag gibt eine Übersicht über hypertrophe Narben und Keloide, deren Pathogenese und empfohlene therapeutische Möglichkeiten.
