In der Pädiatrie sind Thrombosen eine seltene, aber ernstzunehmende Erkrankung. Von venösen und arteriellen Thromboembolien bis hin zu zentralen Venenkatheter-assoziierten Thrombosen gibt es verschiedene Erscheinungsformen und Risikofaktoren, die eine rechtzeitige Diagnose und angemessene Therapie erschweren können. Ein gutes Verständnis dieser Erkrankungen ist entscheidend, um Komplikationen zu vermeiden und die Lebensqualität der betroffenen Kinder und Jugendlichen zu verbessern. …

Substanzgebrauchsstörungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen

Gerade die Jugend ist eine Phase, in der viele neue Erfahrungen, oft durch Austesten der eigenen Grenzen, gesammelt werden. Dazu gehört der Konsum von Alkohol und Drogen. Dies kann jedoch gravierende Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit, das soziale Leben und die Zukunft der betroffenen Kinder und Jugendlichen haben. Es ist entscheidend zu erkennen, wann Kinder und Jugendliche Hilfe benötigen.

Rationale Antibiotikaverordnung für Kinder und Jugendliche

CME: 2 Punkte

Die Entscheidung, ob ein Antiinfektivum verordnet werden kann, ist vor allem bei Kindern und Jugendlichen herausfordernd. Weltweit gehören Antibiotika zu den am häufigsten verschriebenen Medikamenten. Besonders problematisch sind steigende Resistenzen. Antibiotic-Stewardship-Programme sollen dabei helfen, die optimale antiinfektive Pharmakotherapie für jeden individuellen Fall zu finden.
