Tiefe Hirnstimulation bei Bewegungsstörungen

Zusammenfassung

Die tiefe Hirnstimulation (THS) hat in den letzten 25 Jahren die Behandlungsmöglichkeiten und das pathophysiologische Verständnis von Bewegungsstörungen grundlegend erweitert. In dem vorliegenden Artikel wird der aktuelle Stand der THS in der Behandlung von Parkinson, Tremores und Dystonien sowie seltenen Bewegungsstörungen dargestellt und ein kurzer Überblick über die Wirkungsweise der THS gegeben.
