A variation of associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS)
has been reported
consisting of applying a tourniquet that would collapse intersectorial connections without the need for a full transection. We report how to standardize the totally laparoscopic tourniquet ALPPS technique in three steps. First, avoid mobilization for oncological safety;
second, perform a pure hanging maneuver;
and third, approach the liver hilum by extraglissonian access to the Sugioka gates.
