Zusammenfassung

Bei kaum einer anderen Erkrankung ist die Ernährung ein so zentraler Bestandteil der Therapie wie beim Typ-2-Diabetes. Wesentlicher Auslösefaktor für diese Erkrankung ist eine langjährige Fehlernährung, die zu einer Gewichtszunahme führt. Durch die Integration von Ernährungsinterventionen in die basale Diabetestherapie kann jedoch nicht nur eine signifikante Verbesserung der Stoffwechseleinstellung, sondern sogar die Remission des Diabetes erreicht werden. In dieser Übersichtsarbeit sollen aktuelle Ernährungsstudien und -konzepte bei Typ-2-Diabetes dargestellt werden.
