19. Überwachung der Beatmung

Zusammenfassung

Die wichtigsten Ziele des respiratorischen Monitorings sind die Optimierung der Atem- und Beatmungstherapie sowie die Prävention oder frühzeitige Erkennung beatmungsassoziierter Komplikationen. Die Überwachung der Beatmung erfolgt klinisch durch Geräte und Laboranalysen. Im Mittelpunkt des respiratorischen Monitorings stehen die Funktion des Beatmungsgeräts, die Interaktion von Patient und Beatmungsgerät sowie die Überwachung des Beatmungserfolgs, d. h. der Oxygenierung, der Elimination von Kohlendioxid und des Säure-Basen-Gleichgewichts.
