Rupturen der distalen Bizepssehne

Zusammenfassung

Mit einer Inzidenz von 3 % aller Bizepssehnenverletzungen stellt die Ruptur der distalen Bizepssehne eine eher seltene Verletzung dar, die jedoch mit einer erheblichen funktionellen Einschränkung des Ellenbogens einhergehen kann. Im Fall der kompletten Ruptur lässt sich die Diagnose klinisch stellen, mit einem ausgeprägten Kraftdefizit insbesondere für die Supination des Unterarms. Bei unklarer Symptomatik sollte die Magnetresonanztomographie hinzugezogen werden. Hinsichtlich des therapeutischen Vorgehens besteht in der gegenwärtigen Literatur der allgemeine Konsens, dass die operative Therapie mit einer anatomischen Rekonstruktion des „Sehnen-Footprint“ der konservativen Versorgung überlegen ist. Es stehen aktuell verschiedene Operationstechniken mit guten biomechanischen und klinischen Ergebnissen zur Verfügung, jedoch konnte noch keine klare Überlegenheit einer einzelnen Technik nachgewiesen werden.
