5. Vorsorgeuntersuchungen, Mutterschaftsrichtlinien, Infektionsscreening und Impfungen

Zusammenfassung

Ziel von Vorsorgeuntersuchungen vor und während der Schwangerschaft ist es, die Morbidität und Mortalität von Mutter und Kind zu minimieren. Dies geschieht im Wesentlichen durch Screeningmaßnahmen und eine Einteilung von Schwangeren in ein Niedrigrisikokollektiv und ein Hochrisikokollektiv. Vorsorgeuntersuchungen vor und während der Schwangerschaft reduzieren wahrscheinlich die fetale und maternale Mortalität (Kaunitz et al. 1984). Die Anzahl der Vorsorgeuntersuchungen korreliert mit dem Ausmaß dieser Reduktion (Dowswell 2010). Ein klarer Nachweis in kontrollierten Studien für eine signifikante Reduktion der Mortalität und Morbidität von Mutter und Fetus durch Vorsorgeuntersuchungen im Allgemeinen oder bestimmte Vorsorgeuntersuchungen im Besonderen fehlt jedoch. Die optimale Anzahl an Vorsorgeuntersuchungen ist ebenfalls nicht bekannt.
