Zusammenfassung

Nach einer Zahnextraktion kommt es zu Umbauvorgängen der Alveole und Resorptionen des bukkalen Bündelknochens. Defekte des Alveolarkamms können in einem Bedarf augmentativer Techniken resultieren, um eine korrekte Position des Implantats gemäß des prothetischen „backward planning“ zu ermöglichen. Um Augmentationen schon im Vorhinein zu vermeiden, müssen resorptive Prozesse unterbunden oder reduziert werden. Möglichkeiten hierzu stellen die Sofortimplantation in die Extraktionsalveole oder alveolenerhaltende Maßnahmen dar. Generell stellt die Wahl des indikationsgerechten Implantationszeitpunkts die Basis für eine langzeitstabile Versorgung des Patienten dar. Liegen Atrophien oder Defizite des Alveolarkamms bereits vor, so gilt es, Augmentationsstrategien in Abhängigkeit von dem vorhandenen Alveolarkammdefekt auszuwählen. Die Defektgeometrie spielt hierbei eine entscheidende prognostische Rolle.
