Zusammenfassung

Die Zytologie ist eine Standardmethode der morphologischen Diagnostik in der Pneumologie. Ein Schwerpunkt ist die Diagnostik maligner thorakaler Erkrankungen, insbesondere des Lungenkarzinoms und sekundärer thorakaler Tumoren. Die Zytologie ermöglicht mit hoher Genauigkeit die Tumorsicherung, -typisierung und -subtypisierung sowie den Nachweis molekularer Besonderheiten wie EGFR- und KRAS-Mutation.
