To the Editor: Persistent pneumothorax in neonates is infrequent and troublesome to manage. The Society of Thoracic Surgeons database defines persistent pneumothorax as one that persists for more than five days. Spontaneous resolution of persistent pneumothorax is unpredictable and results in increased morbidity, hospital stays, and associated costs. Autologous blood patch pleurodesis (ABPP) is a known technique for treating persistent pneumothorax in adults and pediatric age groups [
