Zusammenfassung
Bildgebende Verfahren wie die funktionelle Magnetresonanztomografie geben nur einen sehr vereinfachten Einblick in die Funktion des Gehirns. Aktivität in einer bestimmten Hirnregion bedeutet nicht, dass diese für eine bestimmte psychische Funktion »verantwortlich ist«. Sie ist lediglich in den Prozess involviert. Vermutlich interagieren viele Hirnregionen, um eine bestimmte psychische Funktion auszulösen.
