In “NOTES cholecystectomy: matched-pair analysis comparing the transvaginal hybrid and conventional laparoscopic techniques in a series of 216 patients”, Zornig et al. [
1] analyze the postoperative outcome retrospectively in 200 females, who have nonrandomly been allocated to either a NOTES cholecystectomy (TVC) or a conventional laparoscopic cholecystectomy (CLC). In Table
1 in the article by Zornig et al. [
1], the difference in numbers of previous operations in the TVC group (
n = 35) and the CLC group (
n = 54) are listed as nonsignificant, based on a McNemar test. …
