Giant cell arteritis (GCA) commonly involves the orbital arteries [
10]. However, pseudo-tumour orbitae (PTO), defined as non-infectious orbital inflammation of unknown origin, is an uncommon presentation of this disease. Thus far, only few reports have been published in the literature [
5]. Hence, the present case aims to encourage physicians to integrate GCA in the differential diagnosis of PTO because this disease requires immediate therapy due to the risk of blindness [
