Pericardial hernias (PH) are rare entities, and surgical experience in dealing with these defects is limited. PH develop through either a congenital or acquired defect in the central tendon of the diaphragm, and in adults, PH are usually associated with high-energy traumatic rupture or develop as an iatrogenic consequence of surgical interventions, such as pericardial window procedures, cardiac surgery, etc. [
