Zusammenfassung

Bereits bei Diagnosestellung liegt bei ca. 25–30% aller Patienten mit einem Nierenzellkarzinom eine Metastasierung vor. Bei weiteren 20–30% der Patienten, die sich einer radikalen Nephrektomie mit kompletter Tumorentfernung unterzogen haben, kommt es zu einem Progress.
In diesem Übersichtsartikel wird auf die aktuellen therapeutischen Optionen beim metastasierten Nierenzellkarzinom eingegangen. Dazu zählen im Einzelnen die operativen Therapieoptionen wie zytoreduktive Tumornephrektomie oder Metastasenchirurgie aber auch die Embolisation, medikamentöse Therapieansätze (Chemotherapie, Immuntherapie und „targeted therapy“) sowie die supportive Schmerztherapie.
