Schmerz bei Patienten mit Morbus Parkinson — was sind die Ursachen?

Zusammenfassung

Schmerz ist ein häufiges Symptom beim Morbus Parkinson, das schon in der Frühphase der Erkrankung auftreten kann und bei den Patienten zu einer schwerwiegenden Beeinträchtigung der Lebensqualität führt. Neben altersbedingt gehäuft auftretenden Wirbelsäulen- und Gelenkschmerzen führt die Parkinson-Erkrankung selbst durch Rigor, Akinese und Haltungsstörungen zu Schmerzen, die mit der Beweglichkeit fluktuieren und die orthopädisch bedingten Schmerzen überlagern können. Daher muss die Schmerztherapie bei Patienten mit Morbus Parkinson durch den behandelnden Neurologen geleitet und überwacht werden, nicht zuletzt, um den Patienten vor erfolglosen und belastenden operativen Eingriffen zu schützen.
