Zusammenfassung

Sowohl für die Schlaganfallprävention, aber auch für die Rehabilitation nach Schlaganfall spielen Umwelt- und Lebensstilfaktoren eine bedeutende Rolle. Dies betrifft unter anderem körperliche Aktivität, Körpergewicht und Ernährung, Rauchen, Konsum von Tee, Kaffee oder Alkohol, psychische Faktoren wie Depression oder Stress, bis hin zur Frage, ob ein Haustier gehalten werden sollte. Der vorliegende Beitrag widmet sich insbesondere dem Einfluss von Umwelt- und Lebensstilfaktoren auf die Schlaganfallprävention, weist aber an einigen Stellen auch auf deren Einfluss auf die Rehabilitation hin.
