Das Restless-Legs-Syndrom

Zusammenfassung

Das Restless-Legs-Syndrom (RLS, auch: Krankheit der unruhigen Beine) ist eine Schlafstörung, die in mittlerer bis schwerer Ausprägung 3 bis 4%, in leichterer Ausprägung bis zu 10% der Bevölkerung betrifft. Die Diagnose RLS wird klinisch gestellt, bei begleitenden Schlaferkrankungen kann eine Schlaflaboruntersuchung sinnvoll sein. Leichte oder sporadische RLS-Fälle können mittels allgemeiner Verhaltensmaßnahmen und mit Medikamenten in vielen Fällen gut behandelt werden.
