Abstract
In the preceding chapters, the emphasis has been on the presentation of the results of co-word analysis and the interpretation of the scientific and technological fields that were studied in this way. The method itself has been outlined and justified in Chapter 7, but there are a number of technical issues that deserve more detailed treatment, if only to satisfy the curiosity of the reader. In addition, the discussion of these issues allows us to point out some further developments in methodology.
