Abstract

In 1963 the Prosthetic Research and Training Unit (PRTU) was formed at the Ontario Crippled Childrens Centre. Funded by a Block grant from the Federal Health and Welfare Administration, the core team consisted of an engineer, a prosthetist, a technologist, and a secretary.
