Abstract
Organizations are messy places! They are made up of people who bring widely varying personalities, values, and agendas into the organization. Many of us feel that truth, beauty, and justice should prevail, and then we find out that power prevails. All we should have to do is present our obviously brilliant idea or plan, and everyone should leap to their feet shouting their agreement, unless they are too awestruck by the brilliance, of course. In reality, we find that we have to constantly sell, negotiate, and compromise to get those ideas or plans approved.
