Disorders of the Neonatal Airway

Abstract

Neonates with craniofacial syndromes may present with more than one airway anomaly. When evaluating a neonate in respiratory distress, it is critical to assess for the anticipated abnormalities when a specific syndrome is suspected and to identify additional levels of potential obstruction. This chapter highlights the characteristic findings and airway management options for several craniofacial syndromes.
