Abstract
Urologists have a rich and proud tradition of innovation and research, leading to significant advances within the discipline of urologic oncology and the field of urology. Most prominently, Huggins et al. evaluated the effect of androgens on advanced prostate cancer in 1941, and they were subsequently awarded the Nobel Prize in 1966 for their landmark insight into the impact of hormones on neoplastic cells.
