Abstract
This chapter outlines the numerous materials that are available for the repair of inguinal, ventral, and other types of hernias. This includes biological, synthetic, absorbable and hybrid prosthetic products. It also itemizes several fixation devices that are available. Due to the sheer volume of materials that are available throughout the world, this should not be considered a complete compilation of all of them. It represents, however, the best listing that I have been able to obtain at this time. All product names belong to the manufacturer listed and photos cannot be used with permission of the publisher or the manufacturer as some of them are copyrighted or trademarked.
