Zusammenfassung

Die Tradition der Erinnerungsarbeit im Gruppensetting ist älter als die der Erinnerungsarbeit im Einzelsetting. Erste unstrukturierte Gruppeninterventionen hatten zum Ziel, dass ältere Menschen Erinnerungen aktivieren und austauschen (z.B. Perrotta u. Meacham 1981). Später wurden auch strukturierte Varianten der Erinnerungsarbeit eingesetzt. Die Teilnehmer sollten befähigt werden, das eigene Leben systematisch neu zu bewerten, Konflikte zu lösen und Ressourcen wiederzuentdecken. Dieses strukturierte Vorgehen wurde sowohl im Gruppen- als auch im Einzelsetting eingesetzt (z.B. Haight 1988).
