Zusammenfassung

Für die symptomatische Behandlung von Erbrechen und Schwindel stehen mehrere Arzneimittelgruppen zur Verfügung, die in der Regel zerebrale Rezeptoren für Neurotransmitter blockieren. Die weitaus größte Gruppe bilden Betahistin sowie die klassischen H1-Antihistaminika, die neben ihren antiallergischen Wirkungen (siehe Kapitel 7) als Antiemetika bei Reisekrankheiten und bei Schwindelzuständen unabhängig von der Ätiologie eingesetzt werden.
