Zusammenfassung

Zu der Behandlung des Poplitealarterienaneurysmas (PAA) legen sich die Leitlinien nicht fest, die Therapie kann sowohl offen (open repair, OR) als auch endovaskulär (endovascular repair, ER) durchgeführt werden. Evidenzbasierte Aussagen fehlen. Jedoch gibt es keine größeren Sicherheitsbedenken gegen ER des PAA, ER kann als brauchbare Alternative zu OR im klinischen Einzelfall angesehen werden. Ein Vorteil gegenüber OR hinsichtlich Letalität und Kosten ist aber bisher für ER nicht nachgewiesen worden.
