Zusammenfassung

Intoleranz gegenüber Ungewissheit ist zwar selbst keine psychische Störung, kann die körperliche und psychische Gesundheit aber schmerzlich beeinträchtigen. Manchem Forscher gilt sie bereits als ein Vulnerabilitätsrisiko für vielfältigste psychische Erkrankungen, als ein sogenannter transdiagnostischer Faktor. Besonders die Verbindungen zur Generalisierten Angststörung und zur Zwangsstörung sind inzwischen ausführlich untersucht und belegt, aber auch zu Sozialer Phobie und anderen Angststörungen, den Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen und der Depression haben sich interessante Verbindungen ergeben. Diese und andere gesundheitliche Auswirkungen geringer Ungewissheitstoleranz werden in diesem Kapitel vorgestellt – ebenso wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche unterschiedlichen kognitiven Dimensionen geringer Ungewissheitstoleranz Psychotherapeuten bei welcher Diagnose zu erwarten haben. Dazu wird für die wichtigsten Diagnosen, soweit möglich, ihr typisches Ungewissheitsprofil vorgestellt.
