Zusammenfassung

Patienten, die ein Portkathetersystem für ihre Behandlung benötigen, stammen häufig aus dem onkologischen und ernährungsmedizinischen Bereich. Hier stehen die Indikationen zur Gabe von Chemotherapeutika, Antikörpern sowie Ernährungslösungen und weiteren additiven Infusionen und Präparaten im Vordergrund. In diesem Kapitel werden die Indikationen für die Anlage eines Portkathetersystems erläutert, die möglichen Lokalisationen sowie Komplikationen, die bei der Implantation auftreten können.
