Abstract
Lipid metabolism during muscular work was studied by a number of authors (Friedberg et al. 1960, Fritz 1961, Havel et al. 1963, Havel 1971, Carlsson 1967, Yakovlev et al. 1962, Leshkevitch 1960, Issekutz and Spitzer 1960, Issekutz et al. 1962, 1965, 1966, Carlsson and Mossfeld 1964, 1971, Nikkilä et al. 1963, Hagenfeldt and Wahren 1971, Paul 1975 etc. etc.) and was focused mainly on its changes during a single work load. Consequences of prolonged adaptation to increased regular muscular work have been studied more rarely from this aspect (e.g. Issekutz et al. 1965, Gollnick and Simmons 1967, Gollnick et al. 1970, Molé and Hollossy 1970, Paul 1975, Tipton 1974, Palmer and Tipton 1974 etc.).
