Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wollen wir uns mit dem Thema Sucht beschäftigen: zunächst mit der Frage des Vorkommens der Sucht, der diagnostischen Einteilung und der Häufigkeit von Abhängigkeitserkrankungen. Wir wollen darstellen, welche klinischen Symptome bei Menschen mit Suchterkrankungen vorliegen und wie diese in Bezug stehen zu neuronalen Veränderungen. Hierbei wollen wir sowohl funktionelle als auch strukturelle Veränderungen des Gehirns und die Vorgänge auf Ebene der neuronalen Botenstoffe besprechen.
