Summary

The addition of lactalblumin hydrolysate and yeast extract to Eagle's medium enhanced the growth ofTheileria annulata infected lymphocytes and made establishment of cultures with comparatively small numbers of infected cells possible. No adverse effect on growth was shown when ovine or equine serum was substituted for bovine serum in the medium.
