Abstract
There are two basic osteotomy types for angular deformity correction: (a) angulation-only osteotomies, and (b) angulation with translation osteotomies. Angulation-only osteotomies may be opening wedge or closing wedge types. Angulation with translation osteotomies may be straight cut or circular cut (dome). More complex shaped osteotomies, such as V shaped, L shaped, W shaped, etc., are considered specialized osteotomies and are not covered within the context of this chapter.
