Zusammenfassung

Das Acusticusneurinom ist der häufigste unter den Kleinhirnbrückenwinkel-Tumoren. In 17 Jahren wurden in der Neurochirurgischen Universitätsklinik Mainz (Hey et al.) 68 Patienten mit einem Kleinhirnbrückenwinkeltumor operiert, davon waren 53 Acusticusneurinome. Unter allen intrakraniellen Tumoren ist es ein relativ seltener Tumor. Trotz verbesserter Abklärungsmöglichkeiten hat seine Häufigkeit nicht zugenommen: Cushing gab seine Häufigkeit im Jahre 1917 mit 8,7% an. Im Jahre 1970 betrug sie 5,5% in der Statistik von Pertuiset. Interessanterweise hat sich auch das durchschnittliche Intervall zwischen dem Beginn der Symptomatik und der Klinikeinweisung nicht geändert; dieses betrug 4 Jahre in der Zusammenstellung von Cushing (1917), 4,8 Jahre in derjenigen von Pool und Pava im Jahre 1957 und 3 Jahre und 11 Monate in der von Pertuiset im Jahre 1970.
