Zusammenfassung
Die große Bedeutung der Hand als Greiforgan des Menschen steht außer Zweifel. Ihre hervorragende Rolle kann sie jedoch nur spielen, wenn sie sich im Bewegungsraum des Armes frei orientieren kann. Die dafür notwendige Bewegungsfreiheit des Schulter- und Ellbogengelenkes bedingt jedoch auch eine erhebliche Verletzungsgefahr. Bei den Luxationen stehen dementsprechend diese beiden Gelenke an 1. Stelle, wobei das Schultergelenk insgesamt am häufigsten betroffen ist [18]. Während jedoch die Konstruktion des Schultergürtels bis zu einem gewissen Grade die Kompensation einer posttraumatisch eingeschränkten Beweglichkeit gestattet, ist insbesondere die Beugefähigkeit des Ellbogens für die Funktion des Armes unabdingbar.
