Zusammenfassung
Humane Spongiosa besitzt eine lamelläre Struktur. In Lamellenknochen besteht zwischen organischem Kollagen und anorganischem Hydroxylapatit ein nach funktionellen Anforderungen ausgerichtetes Verbundsystem (Benninghoff 1985). Um einen Gefäßkanal lagern sich konzentrische Knochenlamellen aus Kollagenfasern und eingelagerten Hydroxylapatitkristal-len und bilden ein Osteon. Innerhalb eines Osteons ist der Faserverlauf parallel. Die Fibrillen benachbarter Osteone überkreuzen sich in verschiedenen Winkeln. Der unterschiedliche Faserverlauf zwischen den Osteonen und die Vorspannung der Faserbündel innerhalb der Osteone bedingen die mechanische Festigkeit des Knochens.
