Summary

Analysis of 100 knee joints showed, that the length of a semidetached part of the patellar ligament is only in 13% of sufficient length. A free transplant of the central third is suitable in 95% of the cases.

Zusammenfassung

Die röntgenologische Ausmessung von 100 Kniegelenken ergab, daß für den plastischen Ersatz des vorderen Kreuzbandes das mediale, distal gestielte Patellarsehnendrittel nur in 13% der Fälle, das zentrale Patellarsehnendrittel als freies Transplantat dagegen in 95% der Fälle bezüglich seiner Länge geeignet ist.
