Summary

Eight patients with pachydermia laryngis were treated with an aromatic retinoid (Ro 10-9359, Hoffmannn La Roche, Basel, Switzerland). The managment was successful in five cases. The sideeffects are minimal. The new drug seems to be a good completion in therapy of such diseases of the larynx.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über acht Patienten mit Larynxpachydermien berichtet, die mit einem aromatischen Retinoid (Ro 10-9359, Fa. Hoffmann La Roche, Basel, Schweiz) behandelt wurden. Bei fünf Patienten konnte eine vollständige Remission erzielt werden. Die Nebenwirkungen sind geringgradig. Das neue Präparat scheint eine gute Ergänzung für die Behandlung derartiger Kehlkopferkrankungen zu sein.
