De Helping Alliance Questionnaire (HAQ–II)

Een vragenlijst om de werkrelatie in psychotherapie te bepalen

Abstract

Uit een onderzoek onder psychotherapiepatiënten en hun behandelaars met een Nederlandse vertaling van de Helping Alliance Questionnaire-II (HAQ–II) blijkt de structuur van de HAQ–II bij toepassing van principale componentenanalyse niet overeen te komen met die van de oorspronkelijke Amerikaanse versie. Toepassing van multidimensionale schaaltechnieken levert een ééndimensionale structuur op. De correlatie tussen de patiënt- en de therapeutversie van de HAQ–II is laag. Er is geen samenhang gevonden tussen beide versies en biografische kenmerken van de patiënten. De patiënt- en therapeutversie correleren significant met een aantal behandel- en effectvariabelen. De correlaties zijn echter lager of afwezig als scores van patiënten gecorreleerd worden met die van therapeuten of omgekeerd. Dit wijst op een mogelijke vertekening van de beoordelingen door patiënten en therapeuten, bijvoorbeeld door het halo-effect. Het gebrek aan overeenstemming tussen therapeuten en patiënten in hun beoordeling van de werkrelatie moet nader onderzocht worden.
