Lokale en Nationale Monitor Gezondheid

Het doel van de Lokale en Nationale Monitor Gezondheid is een beeld te schetsen van (determinanten van) gezondheid op zowel lokaal als nationaal niveau, als input voor lokaal en nationaal gezondheidsbeleid. Om dit te bereiken wordt de manier waarop gegevens lokaal worden verzameld zo op elkaar afgestemd dat de gegevens vergelijkbaar zijn en samengevoegd kunnen worden tot landelijke cijfers. Dit is een langlopend traject waaraan nu een nieuwe impuls wordt gegeven. Het traject van afstemming wordt gecoördineerd door het RIVM.

Local and National Public Health Monitor: Towards one source for local, regional and national data Figures of the health situation of the population are needed for health policy on local and national level. The purpose of the Local and National Public Health Monitor is to harmonize local data collection methods, in order to obtain data that can be used for comparisons between regions and for calculating national figures. Currently, we are working on harmonizing the questionnaires and methods of data collection of the community health services and those of Statistics Netherlands. In 2012 the community health services and Statistics Netherlands will collect data together, which will result in national figures that can be divided into regional and local figures. The datasets are enriched by linking them to other datasets of Statistics Netherlands, with data on for example income and use of health care.
