Visuomotorische Imaginationstherapie in der Neglektrehabilitation – Grundlagen, Vorgehen und Falldarstellungen
Abstract
Mental practice is increasingly applied in neurological rehabilitation. Neglect patients showing representational disorders, a.o. of the own body, could profit from a visuomotor imagery therapy. A therapeutic procedure for the practical application in neglect rehabilitation is presented concerning (1) patient selection, (2) test diagnostic, (3) assessment of imagery capacity, (4) psychoeducation, (5) setting, (6) therapy manual, (7) frequency and complexity grades, (8) therapy protocol, (9) electromyography, as well as (10) individual training. Two case studies elucidate how visuomotor imagery therapy can lead to functional improvements even in a chronic state after stroke and may have an impact on body perception for subacute personal neglect symptoms.
