Compliance bei chronisch kranken Kindern und Jugendlichen

Abstract

Zusammenfassung. Compliance-Probleme bei Kindern/Jugendlichen mit Diabetes mellitus und Asthma bronchiale werden ausgeführt. Darüber hinaus wird der empirische Forschungsstand zu den Ursachen der Noncompliance dargestellt. Es wird verdeutlicht, wie der Krankheitsverlauf, die Behandlungserfordernisse, Patientenmerkmale und Faktoren des sozialen Umfelds die Compliance beeinflussen. Hierbei wird diskutiert, wie Noncompliance entsteht und welche Faktoren sie aufrechterhalten; zudem wird darauf eingegangen, wie die Compliance langfristig optimiert werden kann.


Comliance in children and adolescents with chronic illness

Abstract. Noncompliance in children/adolescents with diabetes mellitus or asthma is described. Furthermore the article discusses important causes and factors influencing compliance. The impact of disease course, illness specific treatment requirements, patient characteristics, and social environment factors on compliance are reported followed by a description of the development of noncompliance and maintaining factors. Finally, approaches to enhance longterm compliance are developed.
