Welcher endoprothetische Gelenkersatz sollte gewählt werden, wenn die primäre Rekonstruktion einer komplexen proximalen Humeruskopffraktur nicht möglich ist? Vergleichsstudien zwischen anatomischer und inverser Prothese liefern kontroverse Ergebnisse. In der vorgestellten prospektiv-randomisierten Studie wurde das Ergebnis nach anatomischer oder inverser Frakturprothetik im älteren Patienten untersucht und Behandlungsempfehlungen für die Praxis gegeben.
