We read with interest the article entitled “
Intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery with an adapted linear accelerator vs. robotic radiosurgery”. In their dosimetrics-only experience, Treuer et al. [
1] compared two stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) techniques for various types of lesions (metastases, acoustic neuroma, pituitary adenoma, meningioma, and arteriovenous malformations), in a very limited population of 16 patients. The authors stated that their findings “
clearly demonstrate the superiority of the irradiation plan for CK 1 compared to classical linac-SRS with circular collimators and microMLC”. …
